People sometimes ask me why I wrote a book, and why I put so much energy into what I do. Why I care so deeply about Stoicism and its message. And why I feel the need to step forward and share my own story. Because honestly, what’s so special about me? The answer is simple: it’s not about me. I’m not special, only the message I have to share.
I do what I do because I’m deeply motivated to help others who are struggling, just like I did, for more than ten years. I know how heavy it can feel. How isolating. How endless.
I didn’t start out wanting to build a personal brand or make it about me. But I’ve come to realize that sharing something personal, in the form as personal branding, can be one of the most powerful ways to reach people.
I wrote my book because I want to help people who are struggling with their mental health. I want to give them what Stoicism gave me: a calmer life, a quieter mind, and a way to deal with anxiety that actually works in daily life. It’s not a miracle cure, and I’m not claiming to have all the answers. But Stoicism gave me a different perspective, one that helped me hold on when things felt overwhelming.
As I explain in the book, it’s not really about me. I’m just using my own experience as a way to speak to others who might be going through something similar. I know how hard life can feel when you’re dealing with mental health challenges. The silence, the chaos, the constant noise in your head. I’ve been there. And if sharing my story helps even one person feel less alone or more in control, then every moment I spent writing was worth it.
I didn’t write to promote myself. I wrote to connect. To say: me too. And to show that there is another way, not always easy, but possible. Stoicism helped me find that path, and now I’m just trying to pass it on.
